CAROLINA SOTO
Carolina has over fifteen years experience working in the criminal justice system. She has worked at the Attorney General’s Department (NSW), as an Associate to His Honour Judge Williams in the District Court of NSW, at the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in Geneva, Switzerland and as a Legal Aid criminal lawyer for a decade.
She has worked as a casual academic at various Universities, including Western Sydney University and the University of New England. She has appeared as a guest lecturer at the University of New South Wales.
Since being called to the Bar, Carolina has specialised in criminal law and has represented a myriad of clients for a range of offences including (but not limited to) negligent driving occasioning death, domestic violence offences and associated apprehended violence orders (AVO’s), dishonesty/fraud offences and complex sentences in the District Court of NSW. She is briefed in EAGP matters.
Carolina regularly appears across various jurisdictions in NSW ranging from the Children’s Court, Local, District and Supreme Courts, as well as the Mental Health Review Tribunal and NCAT (Guardianship division).
With a strong history and commitment to mentoring law students into the legal profession, she provides practical legal training to students from linguistically and culturally diverse backgrounds.

NOAH ALBANY
Noah is a fourth year Bachelor of Law/Arts student from the University of NSW.
Noah commenced his role as a Paralegal in July 2020 with Soto Chambers.
Noah is a proud Indigenous man with a passion for Indigenous rights. A Go Foundation graduate and mentor, Noah has an enthusiasm for criminal law and achieving equality for Indigenous people within the legal landscape.
Whilst studying, Noah has worked in government, private and the not for profit sector and is experienced in project management, policy research and is an experienced Legal Assistant.
Noah’s core values reflect those of Soto Chambers through his dedication and drive in creating a fair and equitable access to the legal system for those that are disadvantaged, in particular Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders.
Noah continues to strive towards his goal of being admitted as a solicitor 2022.
